Arthur Breur’s earliest inspirations were church choir music, the muppets, and seeing Star Wars in the theater as a child. His composition style is thus often very hummable, hopefully entertaining, and intentionally scene-setting.
Arthur has composed memorable melodic music for nearly four decades. Notable (and notorious) compositions include the Tualatin Overture (the official overture of the City of Tualatin), “Per Ardua” (the official march for the US Army’s 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment) and the George Takei Rag.
He is excited to be working on his first narrated piece for children, and is doubly excited to be orchestrating this work for both orchestra and concert band.
